Perfect Order’s significance may be leaning towards competitive play as the first set post-rotation, but it also comes with several gems for card collectors. | Pokémon
Release Date: March 27, 2026 (Digital: March 26)
One of the smallest English Pokémon TCG main sets in recent years, especially compared to the massive Ascended Heroes expansion
Key chase cards include the Mega Zygarde ex Hyper Rare (MHR), Rosa Special Illustration Rare (SIR), and Meowth ex SIR
Fewer blockbuster chase cards than recent sets, but strong playables could drive demand among competitive players
Mega Evolution - Perfect Order releases on March 27, 2026, marking the first Pokémon TCG expansion after the recent Standard rotation. This change removes several well-known G Block staples such as Charizard ex, Gardevoir ex, and Gholdengo ex from tournament play, effectively resetting the competitive landscape. Competitively, it also introduces more support for fighting Pokémon such as Tarragon, and Barbanacle.
From a collector’s perspective, however, the set’s most notable feature may actually be its size. Perfect Order is one of the smallest English main sets released in recent years, especially when compared to the massive Ascended Heroes expansion. While that means fewer headline chase cards overall, it also creates a tighter focus around a handful of standout pulls.
If you plan to open packs early, it’s a good idea to protect potential chase cards immediately through simple habits like sleeving and storing pulls properly can preserve long-term value.

Perfect Order contains over 120 cards in the main set, along with Secret Rares and premium pulls.
Key highlights include:
The Mega Zygarde EX MHR card
Special Illustration Rares (SIRs) featuring detailed narrative artwork
Although smaller sets sometimes receive less attention at launch, they often develop loyal collector followings when the artwork and pull distribution feel focused rather than diluted.
For collectors interested in preserving early pulls, cards with strong artwork or character popularity are often the best candidates to sleeve immediately and store in protective holders. Many collectors use toploaders and protective sleeves to safeguard potential grading candidates right after opening packs.
While Perfect Order may not feature a deep roster of chase cards, several standouts already stand out as collector favorites.
Note: Some featured cards are shown in Japanese until their English counterparts are officially revealed.

The gold Mega Zygarde EX may be Perfect Order's biggest chase card. | Pokémon
Gold Hyper Rare cards traditionally serve as the centerpiece pull of a set, and Perfect Order is no exception.
The Gold Mega Zygarde ex features a premium textured finish with Zygarde depicted in its Complete Forme. Cards like this often become the set’s long-term trophy card.
Because Hyper Rare gold cards are typically pulled at extremely low rates, often one per several cases of booster boxes, many collectors treat them as immediate grading candidates.

Popping with color, Rosa's Encouragement's Special Illustration Rare is the set's most sought-after supporter card. | Pokémon
Trainer cards often become some of the most sought-after pulls in modern Pokémon sets, and Rosa's Encouragement SIR is expected to follow that trend. Drawn by Iori Suzuki, it features Rosa holding an ice cream of Pikachu, the face of the game's franchise.

The punchy Meowth EX SIR’s art in Perfect Order is another chase in the set. | Pokémon
Meowth ex SIR may be the set’s personality-driven favorite.
The artwork, drawn by Natsumi Yoshida, has a sketch of Meowth in a punchy and colorful background, making it one of the set's most appealing cards. Interestingly, the card may also see competitive play, which can sometimes push demand beyond collectors alone.
Many collectors store trainer illustration rares in side-loading binders, which help keep cards flat while displaying artwork safely. Dedicated Pokémon card binders are often the easiest way to showcase these types of pulls.
Compared to a large expansion like Ascended Heroes, Perfect Order may feel lighter on blockbuster chase cards. However, early previews suggest the set contains several playable cards, which could increase interest among competitive Pokémon TCG players.
For collectors, the usual strategy applies:
Opening boxes early
Best chance at pulling chase cards before prices settle
Buying singles
Often cheaper for acquiring specific illustration rares
Holding sealed products
Elite Trainer Boxes and premium collections often become display pieces
Collectors who plan to hold sealed products long-term often store them alongside other protected items in dedicated card storage solutions to prevent accidental wear or damage.
Rotation also marks the end of an era for many players. When decks like Charizard ex or Gardevoir ex rotate out of Standard, the cards often become reminders. For this reason, many collectors keep their post-rotation deck pieces as souvenirs. Illustration rares tied to favorite decks often remain in binders long after they leave competitive play.

Perfect Order's product lineup is expected to follow the standard Pokémon release roster. | Pokémon
The set launches with a familiar range of Pokémon TCG products.
