Advice for new collectors: Take a leap and join in on your local shows! Sometimes the best friends and experiences can be found right there. It's just cards you'll find, but the community along side with it.
What first sparked your interest in collecting?
Hi there! We're Daisy and Melvin, a couple from Seattle that both work in healthcare and dabble in collecting Pokemon Cards. When we were both younger, we collected Pokemon cards just a simple hobby. Nothing serious, just a bit casual.
As we grew up, we fell out collecting until 2024 where a trip to Japan reignited that spark. Our first visit to the Pokemon Center in Shibuya allowed us to buy the NEW 151 booster pack, and what followed was our first rip session in over 15 years.
After that, we sprinted back into collecting, trying our best to make up for lost time! It's been a great time and we love looking for cards to collect together. We have separate wants for ourselves but still enjoy searching for each other!
Over the past year, our collection has grown tremendously, transforming our personal binders into pieces of art and our slab collection to a small little treasure trove.
What’s your most treasured card right now?
Daisy: Rayquaza V from Evolving Skies! It's my favorite card and I just look at it all day <3
Melvin: The Wailord Binder (nothing but the Journey Together Wailord!) and all the Shining cards in the binder right now.
Do you have a “grail” card you dream of owning someday?
Daisy: A bit cliche, but it's definitely the Gold Star Rayquaza. I'll be realistic though and say any grade is fine! Just the card itself in possession would be the goal!
Melvin: The Love Birds (Latios and Latias Team Up GX) in a 10! Who can say no to that card? That's my forever card and one day when I possess it, it'll be the cap to my collecting journey.

While we don't have a lot of heavy hitters in our collection, these are our personal favorites! Ranging from artwork to color scheme, we admire this set of slabs all the time.
Daisy's personal favorite hobby is to dress up slabs after all ;)
My advice for new collectors is to have fun and collect what you love!
What first sparked your interest in collecting?
My husband introduced me to Pokèmon several years ago and I quickly found Psyduck to be my favorite character! Now I enjoy opening packs and building my collection (including a few master sets — Psyduck, Yuka Morii, and the Radiant Collection)! I’m always on the hunt for cute cards!

Making the right friends in the Pokémon community is my best advice. The community is filled with great and caring creators and communicating with them really adds to my love for collecting.
What first sparked your interest in collecting?
Finding my old collection in my parent’s basement and having a wave of nostalgia hit me.

The Hall of Flames is Dragonscale’s curated spotlight dedicated to celebrating the collectors who make this hobby what it is. It’s our way of highlighting collectors from around the world, sharing their collection journeys, and showcasing the real people behind the collections.
Each month, we select and feature new collectors to spotlight their setups, stories, and passion for collecting.
As a collectible supply company built by collectors, the Hall of Flames is our way of giving back to the community and helping spread the hobby. By featuring collectors and their stories, we hope to inspire others and connect the community.
🔥 What do you get for joining?
Joining the Hall of Flames comes with some well-earned bragging rights and meaningful exposure within the collector community.
Featured collectors receive a dedicated spotlight on the Dragonscale website, showcasing their collection, setup, and collecting journey for others to discover.
In addition, Hall of Flames members may be featured across our social media channels and email campaigns, reaching thousands of collectors who use and trust Dragonscale supplies.
It’s a great way to share your collectible profile, connect with fellow collectors, and celebrate the hobby together!
🔥 Are there any requirements?
Any real collector is welcome to join the Hall of Flames.
We don’t have strict requirements, and it doesn’t matter how big or small your collection is, or how expensive it may be.
As a Dragonscale spotlight, we look to feature collectors who use our products and actively engage with us through the community, including on social media.
What matters most to us is authenticity: a genuine passion for the hobby and a willingness to share your collecting journey with others!
🔥 How do I join or get featured?
Collectors can either be featured organically or submit their interest directly.
If you’re a dedicated Dragonscale customer and regularly engage with us, by sharing your collection, tagging us on social media, or being active in the community, we may reach out to you directly to be featured. At the same time, you’re welcome to submit your collection journey via this page for consideration in a future spotlight.
We review submissions on a rolling basis and regularly select new collectors. The Hall of Flames is about genuine passion for the hobby, not follower counts or collection size.
🔥 How are features updated?
The Hall of Flames is updated monthly with a new group of featured collectors. Each month, we spotlight a select group of collectors to give more community members a chance to be seen and celebrated.
To keep things fair, featured collectors rotate over time. Previously featured collectors are preserved in our archive so their stories and collections can continue to be discovered.
