PSA Slab Guard (Mythic)

A slab guard, also called a bumper guard or slab protector, is a silicone protective shell that snaps onto the outside of a graded trading card slab. It sits around the perimeter of the case to help absorb everyday impacts, cushion the corners, and lift the slab off flat surfaces, making the front plastic less likely to make direct contact.

Slab guards are a common way collectors protect PSA, CGC, BGS, and TAG slabs from everyday wear while complementing the card's look.

Guards add cushioning against everyday impacts and edge pressure. They help reduce surface scratches and corner wear caused by regular handling, stacking, bumps, and drops. For additional protection during storage and transport, pair your guard with a rigid slab vault.

The slab protects the card. A slab guard helps protect the slab. A scratched, chipped, or cracked case can hurt the presentation of a graded card even when the card inside is untouched. If you handle your slabs often, ship them, take them to shows, or stack them in storage, a slab guard adds protective cushioning around the plastic slab case.

Yes. Our slab guards are designed to be removed and reused. The silicone comes off without leaving residue on the slab, so you can swap colors, move a guard to a different slab, or reconfigure your display, similar to switching a phone case.

Fit the guard over the edges of your slab the same way you would fit a phone case. Align the front of the guard with the front of the slab, then work the silicone around the perimeter until each corner snaps into place and the guard sits flush. Installation Guide

Yes. The raised edges keep the front and back of each slab separated, so slabs with guards can stack without the plastic touching each other. However, the guards do not have any stackable locking mechanism.
